Ikari has an overwhelmingly intense personality, doing as he pleases regardless of how he may be viewed. This, coupled with his rapid descent towards indecency, has developed in him an extremely vulgar disposition, willing to cross all limits into the extreme if so intended.
It would be a mistake to assume that he is dissatisfied with his current life.

OO4 ) has no inside voice anymore; he's very loud and obnoxious. this, coupled with absolutely no filter whatsoever, makes him a very questionable company.
OO5 ) very loyal. even worse than a dog. if he owes you one, he'll pay you a thousand; if you're his friend, he'll drop anything he's got his hands busy with to help you out. in a very strange way, this extremely selfish dude is also extremely selfless.
OO6 ) if he calls you 'pal', you're his friend for life. if he calls you 'buddy', you should watch your back.
OO7 ) very afraid of dying, even though he knows he has five more years at best. that's part of why he's so obnoxiously vivid: if he's living at 90 mph, he has no time to think about his condition. silence fucks him up.
OO8 ) has no sense of common decency anymore. he knows what's wrong and what's not, but he purposely breaks through rules and common sense just because now he can. it's his twisted way of thinking about "living life to its fullest".
OO9 ) because he's so harsh with his words and he has the sensibility of an elephant made of sandpaper, it's hard to distinguish when he's being kind or when he's messing with you. the difference is very subtle, but it's there.
